ABOUT US

WHO WE ARE

Friends of Wildlife is a nonprofit organization dedicated to sustainable development and conservation in Kenya.

Since our inception in 2011, we've focused on empowering vulnerable groups, particularly youth and women, through
initiatives such as biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, and poverty alleviation.

Our efforts also include capacity building, advocacy for human rights, and promoting gender equality.

Through partnerships and community engagement, we strive for positive change and a brighter future for Northern Kenya's people and wildlife.

WHAT WE DO: CONSERVATION, EMPOWERMENT,& ADVOCACY

PARTNERING WITH LOCAL
COMMUNITIES

At Friends of Wildlife, we partner with local communities and other actors in conservation, poverty alleviation, and social development initiatives, focusing on vulnerable groups in Kenya's
Northern region.

COMMUNITY INITIATIVES IN WILDLIFE
CONFLICT ZONES
We collaborate with local communities to launch social intervention programs in regions of high wildlife conflict. These initiatives aim to tackle issues such as water
accessibility, healthcare, education, livestock farming, and provide marketing assistance to support the local populace.

SOCIAL EMPOWERMENT AND ADVOCACY
We prioritize social empowerment through capacity building programs, promote peace, advocate for human rights, foster gender equality, and conduct education campaigns. Our goal is to create inclusive communities where all individuals have the opportunity to thrive and contribute positively.

Dedicated to sustainable development and conservation in Kenya.
